1994 Ford Probe Replaced Battery Reason Won T Run Far Before Quitting On

I replaced the battery in my probe and for some reason it won't run far before quitting on me. The cables have been replaced. Recently someone told me about some sort of wire or connection needing to be replaced or connected. I don't remember the name of this part, please help me.

When it quits does it start back up immediately without prolong cranking before it starts
