1994 Ford Probe headlights

when I turn on the headlights it takes about five minutes for them to come up why? and how do I correct this problem? I had a 1995 probe it had the same problem. is this a typical thing with probes ? or is it limited to certain years??

Possibly a poor connection or weak relay somewhere. The circuit will have to be troubleshooted using a wiring diagram. The relay is in the power distribution box in the engine compartment.
