after state inspection car began running rough-felt like it was losing power a little but keeps on running. Does not accelerate smoothly. Also idles erractically, high, low, sometimes dies but sometimes ok. Could inspectors have done something to cause this?

get soem choke cleaner and claen both sides of throttle plate with it. also the iac valve hole. then make sure that the duct work going to tp has no holes in it or isnot disconnected someplace. see if that cures it. also look for any hose off like valve covers, air cleaner, etc.
