Does the throw out bearing have to match the clutch or are they standard?

I'm not sure I understand. The throw out bearing needs to be designed for your vehicle. Is that what you mean?

I installed a clutch and a different throw out bearing than the one that came with the clutch was put in and now it squeals.

If it was the correct bearing, it should be fine. However, it doesn't sound like the correct one was used.
