I have the truck listed above that hesitates when you press on the gas pedal. Also it will make several small muffled backfiring noises and then when it does accelerate and takes off fast. The air filter is clean. brand new even. When I bought the truck the previous owner stated that he put brand new plugs and coils in. I had an oil change. It doesn't seem to be the transmission because it ships in the gear fine. I have cleaned but I believe to be the throttle body with this carbon red spray that seem to help some. I was told it could use it a tuneup. but personally I am stumped. please help.

This sounds like a timing issue. Let's check the timing using the procedure below and we can go from there. I attached the process and the spec for your review

Let me know what you find. Thanks
