metal shavings in oil

I found metal shavings in my oil the last time i changed it what should i do now

Show them to a mechanic. The most common source is crankshaft and connecting rod bearings coming apart. There are three layers of metal so the chips might be silver on one side and copper colored on the other side. If the chips are dark and magnetic, it could be coming from the oil pump housing. Peel your oil filter open to see if he chips are being trapped there.
