1994 motorhome fuel pump in tank is bad. Can I just install a fuel pump outside the tank? the inner pump costs $524 and is only available through a Ford dealer

You can just make sure you have the correct fuel pressure for your fuel system

No, I don't believe that will work as the second pump would have to draw through the first pump.
