94 Dodge Stealth Stalls when the RPM drops

i have a 94 dodge stealth r/t and its got 176k miles and the problem is that my car starts up fine and all but when its in idle the car falls below 1000rpm and then the engine dies. the only way i am getting by on this is if i give it alot of gas to keep when i give it enough gas the rpms creep up to 1000 and then it runs fine

Transmission could be slipping and also check the TPS and MAP sensors
