how do you fix a door lock?

the drivers side door will lock but not unlock with the key

You need to check the door lock actuator. Removing the door panel is required.

It is a 50/50 chance depending on what is wrong. It works one way, the actuator is not bad but it has other switches inside it and it could also be a bad wiring circuit.
