car wont turn over

Hi guys,

Just finding out why the car won't turn over? The car cranks but just wont turn. I checked the sparks and all was fine. I notices that the fuel filter there was three plugs. One of the plugs was not connected to anything. I don't know where that plug goes.

Any help would be appreciated.

That is not the fuel filter you are referring to. If it is a big canister on the wheel house, it is the charcoal canister.

Did you check for sparks?
Remove the distributor cap and note if the rotor is turning while cranking the engine. If it is not turning, you have a failed timing belt.
Which engine do you have and is this a carburetted or fuel injected model?
