The car has no reverse, will drive for only 100 feet and then no power. Have to wait it out before it starts drive again and then nothing again. Also the RPM don't work and speedometer. I unplugged the speed sensors, neutral park sensor and clean them. After installing them back and reconnecting the battery, now the hazard lights comes on and will not turn off. Only way to stop is to pull the fuse or disconnect the battery. At the same time the car engine will not turn over. It was working fine before. Maybe the battery need to be recharged. But not sure why it does not drive.

Have you checked the transmission fluid level? Have the battery load tested.

I bought new speed sensors, neutral safety sensors and installed them. Now the theft system does not go off. I used to key to open and locked the doors and it will stop but as soon as I restart the car it goes off again. The lights blink. I believe the theft system is shutting off the fuel system thereby not starting the car at all.

I also changed the transmission fluids and filter. I used ATF 4 for the transmission fluid. Now if I can only get the car to start and I will be able to find out if the gears work.

I am lost of what to do to disconnect the theft system on this car.

This sounds like one of those situations where the mechanic has to touch, taste, feel, hear, and see what's going on to diagnose it with any intelligence. Are you sure you replaced everything including wires correctly?

Yes, the only wires I disconnected where the sensors. The sensor wires are really easy to tell apart plus when I unplugged them I put them in just the same order after I checked and double checked. I just wanted to know if there is anyway I can disconnect the anti-theft device so I can start the car without coming back on. Is there a way to by pass the anti theft device to turn the fuel pump on and all other functions of the car.

My reference says to clear any trouble codes and start the car 20 times to reset the alarm.

All is fine now finally got the car to start. Battery was the problem why the anti-theft kept on coming on. Quick question, when I shift the gears, the reverse gear does not engage and the 3rd and L gears too. The Drive gear is iffy. Anyways, I changed to transmission fluid, filter, speed sensors, TCM and Neutral Safety sensors and it has not helped. Still no reverse and the car only travels forward for only 20 feet before it does not move anymore. I have to turn the car off before it moves again for another 20 feet. It feels like neutral is when the car wants to reverse except it does not move at all. Do you think the transmission gearing bearing are bad? I am thinking about taking the transmission off but want to make sure I have cover all the easy fix first.

Thanks

Being an automatic transmission there are dozens of things that could be causing the problem. None of them are cheap or easy to fix.

So I guess I am taking the transmission off and overhaul it.

YOu can do that or you can take it to a shop that can diagnose exactly what is wrong. Rebuilding the trans will do nothing if the cooler is plugged.
