14.7 volts is right at the high end of the acceptable range. What happens to that voltage when you raise engine speed a little? The two charging system codes suggest the voltage regulator inside the Engine Computer is shorted and running the alternator wide open but Chrysler has had very little trouble with that. One of the clues is even if it is shorted, it can't draw the voltage down on that wire all the way to 0 volts so while the alternator's output voltage could be too high, but it won't be as high as when we purposely ground that wire to do the full-field test.
The voltage will go too high if that wire is grounded but even that isn't very common. In that case you WOULD find 0 volts on that wire. To start the diagnosis, measure the voltages on the two smaller wires on the back of the alternator. One will have full battery voltage when the engine is running. We need to know what's on the other wire.
