I have a 1994 Chevy g30 van with a 5.7 engine. It is burning/using oil at a rate that I have to add 1 to 2 quarts every other day. There is no visual leaks though. Could it be a bad ring? Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I replaced the oil spending unit and the oil filter adapter but the leak has continued..i want to take it and have a diagnostic test done on it but I would much rather use that money to fix the problem.

Please help me ;-)

The motor needs to be cleaned, run and inspected carefully by a competent tech to find the source of the leak.
