1994 k1500 won't stay running

1994 k1500 replaced fuel pump fuel pump relay it will start if you put fuel in top of motor but then it will shut down

Engine cranking, did you visually check for spark at the plugs? Use a gage and check fuel pressure. It is possible, engine cranking, to have good spark at the plugs and good fuel pressure, but, if the computer doesn't see an rpm signal, no injector pulse. Anu applicable mil codes?
