once it gets to 30mp it doesnt want to increase speed and rpms red line

Thank you for giving me a reply. Im a single mom of four, I spent all my tax refund to buy this 5 days ago. The man told me it was a great running truck with no problems and obviously has plenty of room for all of us. He told me it had been sitting for awhile so I should change the fluids but other than that I would be fine. Everything was fine I had the oil & filter changed with no problems till the third day and thats when this started happening. Do you think I have been swindled? If so any advice? And how much would an overhaul cost I dont have much. Thank you so much for your help

Overhaul quite expensive check fluid if dark and has odor have fluid and filter changed may help. Contact owner tell him problem maybe he has a heart.

Thank you im going to try the fluid and filter change hope it helps.
I called the man I bought it from and he said he would sell me another transmission with 180,000 miles for 300.00
