coolant issue

engine overheated and blew lower radiator hose. when replaced, gauge does not work right, little heat, runs rough and possible pre-ignition knock.. ects ?

Any applicable mil codes? Are you saying the temp gage doesn't work? I can't tell if all problems are related? How long since a tune-up? Do the heater hoses get hot? Maybe you have air in the cooling system?
