where is the vss circuit located?

There is a VSS sender on transmission.

In the future, you really should make your replies in your original question. The "circuit" consists of the VSS, all the related wiring, the PCM and the speedometer head. They are all components of the circuit and all could have potential to lose a speed signal. there is also a gear that drives the actual sensor. All this needs to be tested or examined.
