heater box door

makes a slapping noise when starting and when shutting off the engine for about 30 seconds. the noise seems to be behind the heater motor.Is this an electrical or a vacuum problem?

check for a vacuum motor disconnected or a vacuum leak there.

This one is all electric so you likely have a stripped out actuator motor and possibly broke or stuck door.
