I have a chevy silverado its 1994 and i am trying to find out how much it would cost to replace the sylanoid on the starter it has a V8 engine

I'd replace as an assembly. At napa around 100 bucks. You may be able to shop around, find an assembly for less. I'd charge you two hundred bucks not counting the cost of the starter assembly. I charge the same whether the solenoid or starter assembly. If you have a basic set of wrenches and sockets, you can do the work yourself.
