ignition switch doesn't turn van off?

Starts fine but in order to get it to turn off we have to disconnect the battery. What is causing this and how much is it going to cost to fix? thanks!

Do you mean disconnecting the battery would cause the engine to stall?

Seems you have a faulty ignition switch and you would need to check locally for the cost.
