What do you mean by randomly knocking in neutral?
Does it work when manually shifted to other gears?

its an automatic. if you mean sis i try shifting it directly at the cable on top the tranny i did. there was no difference. and it would knock when it was dropping to idle speed after starting the car. just one or two knocks but there were a few that were very loud. i lifted my car and watched it one time when it knocked and the whole motor would***** with the knocks. i could not decifer if it was coming from the tranny or oil pan and this problem occured before i was able to get it into a specialist

Sorry, I can't understand what you are trying to explain. Can you rephrase the question so that I can understand the problem?
