When starting it spins over for about 7 seconds before firing and unless I feather the accelerator it will cut out again.Once it is going it is fine except it maybe idles a bit fast when I pull up at the lights but is ok if I put it into neutral.

Get the static fuel pressure tested, ensure you have good fuel pressure on start up, check this first.
