Can a hole in a muffler pipe be patched temporarily? If so, with what?

There is a medium hole in my muffler and I just want to see if it can be patched ASAP

You can try using muffler tape

they do make patch kits for the muffler but they may or may not work. some states allow it legally and some dont.

i would look into replacing it asap. i know it about economics but do repair it as soon as possible.
