starts cols but dies

I have a 1993 toyota corolla 1.8L - am having trouble with black smoke- car starts cold runs for few minutes the dies- if you kept the accerator down a bit - keeps on running but spews black smoke ?

The engine is running too rich and it could be due to faulty injectors or Engine Coolant Temperature sensor.

Are there any trouble codes?
