If I get the manifold exhaust patched will it quiet the exhaust and give vehical power?

I believe I have a crack in my manifold exhaust. My vehicle (93 Toyota Camry) has gotten very loud and lost power. I was wondering if I get the crack patched will that make it quite and give the vehicle power?
