Clutch pressure plate won't tighten to flywheel

I replaced the clutch, but when I put the new one on, I couldn't tighten down to touch the flywheel. There is a gap in between pressure plate and flywheel, about 1/16 inch

It has to tighten down unless you have the wrong disc preventing it. Make sure you don't have the disc upside down.
