I replaced the battery recently. I noticed the brake light in the back window lit up after the car was off. It would be on....and off. No rhyme or reason. Yesterday I went out to start the car and it is totally dead system. No lights of any kind.....no bells.....power door locks won't work. Car is totally dead. Sounds like a dead short but where should I start?

It sounds like a short to power. When the light is on, remove one fuse at a time until the light goes out. When it does, you will know what circuit to focus on. Then you need to trace wiring to locate the short.
