3300 V6 3 speed. Sometimes has trouble starting. Sometimes engine will not shut off. With key off all electrical shuts off but engine will continue running indefinitely. Noticed with key off and engine still running, the speedo will act like a tachometer, Pressing the throttle will make the speedo climb with vehicle stationary. Replaced throttle, MAF, computer, IAT. Check engine light comes on every once in a while. Code is for charging system too high. Already replaced the alternator several times. Have to pull the injector fuse to kill engine. When engine running problem is not occurring the vehicle has trouble starting without holding the gas pedal and letting the car warm up. Will also die during turns. Please help

The idle speed could be too high, throttle plate might not be fully closing causing it to diesel/run-on and test throttle position sensor

We have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, coil packs, plugs and wires. The car runs fine when in park, but once it gets put into gear, it misses and wants to die. We cannot figure out the problem, please help.

Took car to Certified GM Dealer, hooked it up to computer and up came engine code N, air flow sensor inoperable, unhooked for now until we can afford the 200.00 sensor. Sucks gas a little, but is running like a champ after all other repairs. The check engine light never came on either.

I hate sensors. They are on everything and seem to not do much more than cause problems.

As far as the sensor, check a local parts store. I'm sure it will be much less money. Also, you may get one from a salvage yard for cheap.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Joe

Hi Sol McNellage, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation

Check the fuel pressure if its within specs if okay test the throttle position sensor/mass airflow and knock sensor-also won't hurt to check the EGR valve
