My transmission threw a rod. Replacement cost @$1500.00 to 1800.00 with a replacement transmission of 132,000 miles.

Is it worth it to fix it, or will this replacement throw a rod @160,000 anyway. Thanks.

trans has no rods to throw except for a shift rod, you can get one cheaper from a junkyard but I wouldn't put the money into a car 23 yrs old.
