1993 Nissan Pathfinder Cruise Button On Dash Pressed Unit Comes On Light Does

when the cruise button on the dash is pressed. the unit comes on. the light does come on it the instrument panel but when i depress the button on the turn indicator the car doe not stay at one speed, as if there is no cruise control. Is this a problem with the button itself or it there a relay on the throttle to control the speed that could possibly be bad? Not a major problem, just would like to know that answer...thanks

The cruise control is not working and you need to perform diagnostics to find the cause.
