Small dents don't usually hurt anything. We don't get involved with costs here because there's too many variables. Normally gas tanks are replaced, not repaired. A body shop should be able to look up the cost for an aftermarket replacement tank. The dealer can give you the cost of an original one which will be a lot higher. Many dealers also sell aftermarket tanks.
