1993 Nissan Maxima car

I have a 93 maxima and I know it has a power steering leak. I plan on getting it fixed in a couple of days. When I drive it the car shifts to the right which I know is a lower column issue but today I noticed that it is extremely loud qhen I put my foot on the gas. Is it safe for me to drive it until I get it fixed?
