I have a 1993 Mitsubishi Mighty Max, 2.4l 4 cyl, and have recently replaced the timing belt. It has a side mounted distributor and I cant seem to find the adjustment bolt. How do I adust the distributor to set the timing? And what is the proper timing? Thanks. Ron

8 degrees BTDC @ between 600-800 RPM. You will want to jumper the timing adjustment connector wires to ground and check timing. The distributor base is a flange with a radiused adjuster, allowing approximately 20 degrees of adjustment. Take a look at the picture.
