I have put in a new distributor assembly, starter, alternator and new battery.
Sometimes when it does start, it is hard to keep running. I have to keep pumping the pedal to get the tachometer to settle down.
I hear a clicking noise after I try to get it to start.

start with a compression test to verify a timing belt issue. a fuel pressure test would be next and then check for spark.
