my heater went out i wont be able to fix till after christmas, so i need to purchase a heater defroster with a adapter 12v and want to see if that will be okay to use on my cigarrete console in my van or do have to purchase something else , also i only want to use to defrost my windshield i leave very early to work and needed it to defrost or will this be to much for electrical in my van

In order for the defroster to work it has to produce heat and anything that produces heat will draw too much current for that circuit.
