i found out my starter went out so i bought a new starter and a new battery and it ran good then i went out of town the car sat for 5 days and then wouldnt strt so i jumped it and it ran for abt 3-5 min i turned it off and this morning it wouldnt start again i want to no with this being a new battery shouldnt it start right up

If the battery is dead, you may have a parasitic amperage draw. You will need a digital ammeter to properly diagnose and locate this draw.

Before beginning this, I would first verify the state of charge on the battery and verify proper operation of the charging system.
