I encountered the ASR light coming on and pulling all the power from the motor, reading the book states that it is acceleration slippage control which will automatically brake and throttle back the engines power when the wheel looses traction. This light and problem should go away once car regains traction, however, the vehicle stays in this mode and will not regain traction. I replaced all the wheel sensors but that had no effect. Please help

Jack the vehicle, open the hood. On the front tires you will see a cable that looks like RCA jack, follow that cable to the hood you will see in that area 2 small white wires that bring power to the ASR and ABS system cut those 2 wires and you disable the ASR. Problem solve! Work only one the passenger side. If you want you could use a swich to connect the wire that you cut in case you want to use the ASR when driving in bad weather like snow. So you turn the swich on when you need it. So you will see the ASR and ABS lights stay on on the dash while the ASR is disable. Don't waste your money by going to the dealer or special mechanic you will be the looser. They will ask you to change this and that maybe $ 2000 or more and no good result with temporary solution. Disable the ASR and you done by following my instructions.
