The ABS light won’t come on if idling in park, but once driven a few feet it comes on and stays on.

We recently found out that the CV shaft installed was the wrong one, and was missing the toothed ABS ring.

We had the correct CV shaft with toothed ring installed, but surprisingly the ABS light still comes on once we drive the car a few feet.

Is there a way to jumper any connections to initiate ABS fault codes? This car is old enough that we don’t have the luxury of obdII.

There is no way to jumper this and get the light to turn off if this is a speed sensor issue.

Here is a guide on how we need to start with pulling ABS codes and find out what is there so that we know what the issue is and if it is a speed sensor then what wheel is it.

If this is a speed sensor issue, then here are a couple guides that will help with testing and replacing the sensor.

If the light is not on when the vehicle is not moving then this is likely a speed sensor but again, we need to know what codes are there and then we can figure out if this is a sensor, tone ring, or module issue.

Let us know this info and we can go from there. Thanks
