My 1993 GMC G2500 van jerks and shakes from back end at constant speeds of 45MPH+.

My van will jerk at a constant speed of 45MPH or more. It is a continuous jerking motion and will sometimes make clanking noises. Is this typical of a rear axle issue or something more like the U joint or drivetrain?

check the whole drivetrain. it could be more like ujoints or center support bearing if yo have one.
