The ECM is located under the driver seat here is a diagrams to help you see hat I am talking about.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Computer problem
1989 GMC Van V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

im trying to find the computer on an 89 gmc van. On my 91 van its above the battery. But on the 89 its not and I dont even see the wires for the harness? Any suggestions where it is? Also the vans are identical except for years. I had to swap tranys and its not shifting right. We checked computer and the e prong is sending bad connection.
