I have a 1993 GMC Sierra Truck 5.7L motor. It Starts &runs fine 1st thing when driving it after the 1st &2nd cycles of the transmission. It starts to run bad want get over 45 to 50. The tps, map, egr, fuel pump relay, have all been replaced, also new battery. The ideal never gets over 250 setting at a red light & sometimes just stales out.

Check for a blown gasket at base of tbi unit and if hose is soft going to map sensor replace it. Then scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge should be 9-11 psi

The ideal? You mean temp gauge? 250 is pretty dang high actually for an internal combustion engine. I'm guessing when it won't get over 45 MPH, it's also knocking and pinging like crazy. Your report of symptomology makes me think "engine dying due to overheating repeatedly."

NO truck does not run hot, smell hot nor does it knock or ping.I have not had to add any antifreeze to the cooling system. Chev says the ideal is to be 700 in park 250 to 325 in drive at a stop

You were right on the 1993 gmc truck, the gasket was blown, but it also has an injector not spraying at ideal, it only sprays when you rev motor or drive down the road. Thanks
