1993 Ford tempo GL L4 2.3 Liter gas engine problem
I had an intermittent problem, you could drive anywhere from 15 minutes to days then the engine would stop, it also had a squealing sound. Every time it stopped there would be no spark. I replaced electronic module on the side of the distributor, ignition coil and camshaft position sensor. When I removed the distributor I found the bearing was bad so I replace it with a new distributor with all the electronics in it. The car acted the same way, except the squealing sound is now gone. I drove it about 10 miles and it stopped again and would not start, I towed it home and let it sit overnight and it still would not start. I replaced the computer with a used one. The car started and we drove it for a couple of days. Parked in the drive way and the next morning it would not start. Same problem no spark. Is there something that would short out the computer?

Since you are losing spark. Can you see if you are losing injector pulse as well. Hook up a fuel pressure gauge to check fuel pressure when it dies out to see if you are still getting pressure. If you are losing both injector pulse and spark then I would begin looking at the crank position sensor as your issue.
