will a 4.0 out of a 93 ranger bolt into a 96 ford that had a 4.2 in it?

they both have manual trannies. 93 frame is rusted out and 96 has a blown motor. Just trying to consolidate.

We only recommend direct fit parts. When you change things like this, everything needs changed... computers, sensors, mounts, wiring harnesses, vacuum harnesses...

Would the motor line up with the mounts though? We are on a very limited budget and have the knowledge to change things out. We can bypass fuel infection.

It should. The mounts will be different.
