1993 Ford Ranger transmission

We changed out the clutch and pressure plate and now the transmission seems to be stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear and the shifter won't move. The clutch is working because when t you push on it the truck doesn't move until you let off the clutch.

you may have the linkage locked up in two different gears. see if it does the same inwith engine off. if it does remove shifter and where arrow points with two arrows in the top cover is should look like a square where the tip of shifter sits in neutral see if it is like that if it is an dthen when shifter is installed and it still does not shift correctly then a shift fork or pin may be broken inside trans......
