I have 1993 ford ranger 4x4 4.0 and I've noticed a sweet smell coming from the exhaust pipe like antifreeze. Any ideas?

Sounds like you could have a blown head gasket you can rent a tester at auto zone to test if that could be an issue. Its a free rental with deposit you just have to buy them chemical to use it.You fill tube with the chemical and put it in your radiator opening with it running and watch for the color change like the instructions tell you.Let me know what you find.
