A few months ago my car would die we thought it could be fuel pump changed it and it wasnt it. Sometimes the fuel pump would kick on and sometimes it wont. I hooked it up straight to the battery. It worked for a week and I started having problems where I was driving and I had no gas pedal and it died as soon as I hit the clutch to stop. So I took it off the hot wire hooked it back like its spose to be it worked for 3days. As I was driving to work I had no gas pedal and died as I hit the clutch to stop again. When it dies it usually wont start up til after a couple days. Ive changed CCRM, the crankshaft sensor and checked inertia switch plus I still good fuel pressure. Ive taken it to a mechanic he said theres 3 shorts but he dont no where and cant fix it. So any ideas? And is it possible that there could be shorts I used a multimeter and could not find any breaks in the wires. Oh and I changed ignition switch and tested the ignition control module. So please get back to thank you.

If the car won't start for a couple days after dieing, that is your perfect opportunity to track down the problem by following a wiring diagram.
