1993 Ford Festiva festival will not turn over

When I depress the clutch and turn the ignition key to start the car all lights and gauges come on but the engine will not turnover to start?

There is a switch on the clutch that won't allow the starter to engage unless the clutch is depressed. Check that first. Chances are it is bad.
