The 4-wheel Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) is designed to allow the vehicle to stop in the shortest possible distance while maintaining full steering control. ABS system consists of an Electronic Control Unit (ECU), Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU), 2 front wheel speed sensors and toothed sensor rings, rear axle speed sensor and toothed sensor ring, acceleration sensor, system relay, pump motor relay, ANTI-LOCK and BRAKE warning lights and wiring harness

Two warning lights (ABS and BRAKE) alert vehicle operator of problems in braking system. Red BRAKE warning light monitors master cylinder fluid level and parking brake lever status. Amber ABS warning light alerts vehicle operator to problems in ABS system

Connect a jumper wire between Red ABS data link connector terminal "B" (Black/Light Blue wire) and terminal "E" (Black wire).

Turn ignition on. Count flashes of test light or ABS warning light. Trouble code digits will be separated by 3-6 second intervals. Trouble codes will be separated by 15 second intervals. Record all codes. When flashing stops, all codes have been displayed. Remove test light or jumper wire from Red ABS data link connector
