How do you change upper ball joints on a 1993 Ford Aerostar?

Position the steering wheel and steering system in the "on-center" position.
Raise the vehicle on a frame hoist and position a tall jack stand under the lower control arm.
Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
Remove spindle pinch bolt and nut.
NOTE: Secure the spindle from tilting.
Separate the upper ball joint stud from the spindle.
Note the exact position and number of shims on each control arm stud. These shims control caster and camber.
Remove the nuts retaining the upper control arm to the adjusting arm and remove the control arm from the vehicle.
Remove the damper assembly from the upper control arm by removing the three retainer bolts.
