My aunts van has an airbag light flashing code 32. We are wondering if it is safe for her to drive around or is this something that she needs to take to the dealership whom does all of her repairs and have them fix it immediately?

It means the computer detected a problem, set a diagnostic fault code, and turned the system off. The air bag will not deploy in a crash, . . . so don't get in a crash.

There is a real remote possibility the air bag will deploy if there's a very specific and uncommon problem, AND you generate a static electricity spark near the back of the steering wheel. I haven't actually heard of this happening, but for those of us who look for things to worry about, that would be it.

I would drive the van, but this would be a good time to rethink the habit of tailgating and running yellow lights.
